Ar-Ken Youth Football is a Non-Profit Youth Football Team in the New Kensington\Arnold Area of Western Pennsylvania, the home to Willie Thrower, the NFL’s first black quarterback.
Ar-Ken Youth Football has been in existence since 1966, providing over 40 years of football and cheerleading opportunities for the children of New Kensington/Arnold and surrounding areas. The purpose of this league is to teach our youth the fundamentals of football and cheerleading by providing an organized, athletic and instructional opportunity. with an emphasis on citizenship and good sportsmanship.
We now participate in the MonRiver Pop Warner Football League. The goal of the Mon River Pop Warner Youth Football Conf. is to provide a safe and productive environment that enables children to learn and apply the principles of Scholastics, teamwork, discipline, dedication, and sportsmanship. We facilitate the development of strength and character in every child that participates.
We are sustained by the efforts of volunteers who display an extraordinary amount of commitment and hard work, ensuring that our league is a positive influence in the lives of our children. We also strive to provide a service to our community by providing a healthy outlet for children, opportunities for the community to gather together, and endless hours of entertainment.
